What are the 'cyrus cache files' and what is their format? BTW, I would back up Walter's suggestion to leave IMAP out of the loop if all you need is a mail store for webmail. We used to use MySQL as our message store and it was faster and easier than IMAP. We eventually switched to IMAP so that our users could get offline access too, but it was a performance hit.
