Installed in HPLIP? Yes
PPD: /etc/cups/ppd/HP_deskjet_F380.ppd

She's using the f380.ppd.

I think the problem is that there are two conflicting installs of HPLIP. try
removing HPLIP:

cd hplip-1.7.4
su
make uninstall
rm -rf /usr/share/hplip

yum remove hplip
and finally to reinstall:
./install.py

I'm really thinking this should fix it..I did test an F380 with 1.7.4a and it
works great.

It looks like the printer is installed correctly. Can you run:

/usr/lib/cups/backend/hp

and post the output?

direct hp:/usb/Deskjet_F300_series?serial=CN6AOGK2CD04KH "HP Deskjet F300
series" "HP Deskjet F300 series USB CN6AOGK2CD04KH HPLIP"
"MFG:HP;MDL:Deskjet F300 series;CLS:PRINTER;DES:Deskjet F300
series;SN:CN6AOGK2CD04KH;"

Also try disconnecting/power off the printer, then run:

su
/etc/init.d/hplip restart
/etc/init.d/cups restart
