Joining forces sounds really tempting, don't get me wrong. And it's great
the Iceberg-Datafusion integration is getting more attention. The issue is that
the Datafusion integration in JanKaul/iceberg-rust and this repo use different
Iceberg implementations and the parts cannot be mapped one-to-one.
Joining the work on this repo would mean that I have to abandon my crates,
which I'm currently not ready to do. I hope that's understandable. I'm happy to
collaborate or discuss any related topic.
