MSDN suggests we need <malloc.h> for _aligned_malloc, but I'm not sure. Last time I tried to build and test MinGW it made me cry, and I no longer have any access to Windows machines anyway. But rather than trying to fix it blind let's wait for feedback and see if it works for MinGW or not.
