Well, I briefly tested my disk, everything worked fine (at least with minimal, 853 / DISPLAY + KEYB only, stuff). But I wasn't using raw or EMM386, only XMS (via XMGR). >> I did (locally only, barely) update my silly i18n-DOS floppy disk with >> latest stuff (kernel, country, sys, mined, uide ... barely fits!), so >> maybe I'll reboot and try it again later "just in case"! So I had to remove a very very tiny bit of other cruft (luckily nothing important). Perhaps I should've recompiled Mined -Os, but I didn't (probably not worth it). EDIT: Wha, he's still using PMODSTUB? Heh, oh well. That's 8 kb wasted right there, oops! > I'm not in any rush with a final release of FreeDOS 1.1, as it's holiday > time right now and quite a few people aren't around or lack time. Okay, though I don't know what holiday it could be. (All I can think of is Bastille Day, and I'm pretty sure that's not it!) US and CA already had theirs in the past two weeks, so I guess FR etc. gotta live it up too! ;-) > Releasing another test ISO is my first priority, but I keep running into > issues, especially the graphical menus by PowerBatch. I know this is dumb advice, but I suggest to backup your config files and heavily simplify (no devload, lh, or anything tricky) to isolate the problem. > Done: "simple" FreeDOS 1.1 bootdisk (1.44MB). 386+ though. Good (and 386+ is fine, let others manually install, we'll help!). > Done: integrating INSTALL v4.01. Maybe by then Aitor can help too. Nice to see FD 1.1 in the works! ;-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AppSumo Presents a FREE Video for the SourceForge Community by Eric Ries, the creator of the Lean Startup Methodology on "Lean Startup Secrets Revealed."
