For aught I understand, this is an orthogonal matter, because the inability to find this thread in the archive via a search engine is not Mark's fault, is it? This thread is well archived: <https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-current/2026-January/009760.html> but search engines may not have caught up to it yet. Posts from 2025.11 are already findable, e.g: https://www.google.com/search?q="I+am+happy+to+ask+the+dumb+questions"+site%3Alists.freebsd.org%2Farchives%2Ffreebsd-current There seems to be about two month's lag. If independent archive search is required, a search enginie such as Namazzu (http://www.namazu.org) should be installed on-premise.
