Ok, so here's a *nice* landing, shot from the cockpit of an A320 as it flew
it's approach into Cuzco, Peru (11,500' MSL). I've flown in here as a
passenger and it is pretty spectacular and you really hope the pilots know
what they are doing and where they are at at all times!

We flew out of there in a 727 and five minutes after departure we were still
looking straight out the window at terrain that was closer than my typical
comfort level.

The airport is unmistakenly Schiphol (EHAM, Amsterdam), as one can tell
from the KLM heavies in the distance. I never questioned the fact that
this video is fake. I don't know whether the makers used an RC
controlled plane or just some heavy duty image manipulation. The
movement of the plane is just to fast to be real.

FWIW, there have been more of these faked "amazing amateur" videos on
the net, used as Dutch commercials. Another one I recently saw is one
where a well known TV whetherman standing in the middle of the road
commenting on icy conditions and the need for winter tires was trashed
by speeding car that had gone out of control.

This one's completely fake (note that originally it appeared without the
ad), but look at how crafty it's been made. (Note this one's in Dutch,
so not everyone will get it, but if you do it's quite funny).

Cheers,
Durk
