First, I think launch_dbus should actually be launch-dbus
(/usr/bin/launch-dbus).

Second, I believe launch-dbus is executed when X starts from
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/

My /home/pato/.xsession contains only 2 items:
  eval 'ssh_agent'
  exec enlightenment_start

Dont't use it much but I have a minimal KDE installed and use KDM. (When I
get myself in trouble
building E I can jump into KDE to find answers!)
