Are you sure this is not a browser related behaviour, because e.g. it can't
search fast enough to match previously cached addresses in the address bar, or
because it can't connect fast enough to DNS/search engine to do a look up?
Can you change privacy settings so that it doesn't do look ups and clear any
caches to see if this behaviour persists?
