actually e totally covers up the root window - u never see it. it basically
ceases to exist in e17. e17's wallpaper/filemanger/gadgets live in a window
e17 creates that is on top of the root window. the conky's of this world are
basically incompatible with e17. they would need to be a module and create
gadgets to work win the e17 way of doing things.
