Hi!

I recently broke down and bought a laptop and after much fighting,
have Linux now working properly on it. Now, time to install e.

I tar'd up a e 0.16.6 distro I had built and was running on RH9 and
put it on this FC3 machine.

I hope you mean you tarred the *sources*, and built e again on your new laptop...
The best would definitely to get the latest version (why not try CVS ?) and not forget any step in the compilation process... (configure, make, make install...)
good luck

When I run e on this FC3 machine, everything starts fine but my menus
are broken. The various e menus are small and empty with no text in
them, almost as if the fonts are missing or fonts are very very very
small. What appears are tiny menu boxes with some tiny dotted lines
instead of text.

Any suggestions as to what configuration I botched?

Thanks,

Bobby
