Hi Alon,
GWT's String.format JavaScript emulation (after compiling the application) is
not optimal performance-wise (it has to parse and process the pattern).
In client code processed by GWT compiler, we usually prefer StringBuilder,
whose JavaScript emulation uses native arrays + array.join function, which is a
lot faster than String.format emulation.
To summarize, we generally try to avoid String.format in client code.
