+1 On Michael's idea - not sure if you discussed how to implement, so adding an
idea here - basically you loop on vms and update only one field - the db
generation - you can add a stored proc that gets two lists - one of ids , one
of db generations and perform the loop at stored procedure. see the fn_splitter
function to assist you with the split of comma seperated strings.
