I have a 2300c with the 14.4 internal modem and I tried unsuccessfully to get my Global Village external 56K modem to run off the serial port. AOL software did not detect the 56K modem nor did Tech Tools 2.5.3. AOL tech help said that I needed to deactivate the internal modem. Not sure how to do that. I had already made an extension set that turns off the Apple Express modem and GeoPort software with no luck. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
