Try removing the extentions, control pannel, software, preferences for the
internal modem ect....(Put them on a floppy) then load the GV Software check
your port settings while your at it. If you get the GV working Put it all
back except the preferences. See how that works.

Subject: [Duo] 2300c and External Modem

I have a 2300c with the 14.4 internal modem and I tried unsuccessfully to
get
my Global Village external 56K modem to run off the serial port. AOL
software did not detect the 56K modem nor did Tech Tools 2.5.3.
AOL tech help said that I needed to deactivate the internal modem. Not sure
how to do that.
I had already made an extension set that turns off the Apple Express modem
and GeoPort software with no luck. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Eric Nelson
