Jan: In comment #101, your problems seem to be (1) You didn't do a 'make (menu|x|g|old)
config in your kernel directory, or your kernel source is somehow incomplete, and (2)
You
should probably disable "Legacy USB support" in your bios to make things work better.
The
"Legacy USB support" option caused problems for me as well on my laptop (an HP
ze4420us).
However, I have successfully gotten DRI acceleration working on 2.6.0-test3 with
attachment #466, attachment #467, and attachment #502. I applied #502 to the
XFree-4.3.99.9 source tree, it compiled cleanly, and glxinfo reports that direct
rendering is
enabled.
