I've put together a pypi package, [[https://pypi.org/project/django-
manifeststaticfiles-enhanced/|django-manifeststaticfiles-enhanced]] that
uses the lexer approach from the two recent PRs.as well as some other
minor improvements to collectstatic.
What it needs now is some real world exposure to see if it solves the
issues without introducing too much slow down.
