Yes, we can argue over terminology all week. When people say "Framework X has great AJAX support", they really mean "Framework X bundles a JS library, makes it obvious to use, and provides some automatic functionality using it which is more impressive than plain html forms". I have doubts that we are going to be able to redefine the term AJAX back to "uses XmlHttpRequest" anytime soon.
