(c) William Jefferson Clinton. Heh, AJAX, as you might have noticed is mostly all buzzword crap, but again many not-so-knowledgeable developers would choose a framework purely on the basis of buzzword-compliance. So what if James wants Django to be buzzword compliant too? None can deny its importance in today's world ;) [snip] > 4) Let's return to the topic and discuss it in constructive manner. Yeah, but that was in a different thread, and I thought it was good to stop THIS thread. > 5) I would be honored if you share you position with us on Django Ajax. I have discussed about this AJAX stuff at length on IRC and my preference is shared by a lot of people and has been posted on the list too. What I feel is that I know Django ``supports'' AJAX today itself in a way that it doesn't restrict / stop the user from using some third party AJAX library. But what I want in 1.0 is a loosely coupled, minimal AJAX library + API which in one hand will enable the developer to do some XHR stuff fairly easily and also on the other hand won't stop him from using another full blown library if he wishes. Correct me if I am wrong, may be what I said is not much ``buzzword compliant''. :) Regards, BG - -- Baishampayan Ghose b.ghose at gmail.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDe0i9Qkk0lIY2G3QRAhFLAKCeeBQGbym9F6RHqYPP4frirJCdBwCfTyMY DLlhVEgSQbXgTG/MAuAR/Pg= =6qmS -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
