pools. and we are in the job of refactoring commons-dbcp, and now you

I am pretty sure it will run on a 1.6 JDK - it just has to be compiled on 1.5
All my Tomcat installations run on 1.6. I even compile Tomcat using 1.6
quite frequently - once the download ant task is run with 1.5 I don't
see a problem with this either.
that just means you're not using any API in java.sql from JDK 1.6
