Actually, it is a coincidence, because these are two different sets of certs. I presume you're referring to the message to m.d.planning, which was then copied to m.d.t.crypto; that message was primarily about the new VeriSign ECC roots, which are *not* going to be evaluated in time for Firefox 3.0.
