Officially we only switched Nvidia systems over to Wayland in Ubuntu 24.10. There was a lot to fix and 24.04 will probably never have enough of those fixes. But all systems including Nvidia now default to Wayland in 24.10 and 25.04. And the list of known bugs is tiny: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bugs?field.tag=nvidia-wayland
Also Xorg itself probably isn't ever going away. Only the option to run GNOME on top of Xorg. Anyway, this is all off-topic here. If you have any specific issues then please log new bugs about them and add tag 'wayland-blocker'. So far there are zero issues: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bugs?field.tag=wayland-blocker -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1924689 Title: Window border corruption after changing display scale between 100% and 200% in Xorg Status in Mutter: New Status in OEM Priority Project: New Status in mutter package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Ubuntu release: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS Issue description: When the gnome-initial-setup launched, if user changes the scale 200 -> 400 or 100 -> 200.
