I got your address from bugs.debian.org reports about ROX-Filer (as in CC:)
ROX-Filer is packaged by few persons in few different styles, with miscelanous things patched etc. Jan Wagemakers started the whole thing, but his packages aren't lintian compliant (those /usr/apps etc.). Filip Van Raemdonck started patching, changing ROX-Filer in so many ways that it not the same program ;) And (based on his APT respository) all of it is based on 1.2.x version. Few months ago (before even had a look at Filip's packages) I got Jan's package and started to make it more Debianish - but I was using CVS version of ROX-Filer (packaged as rox-cvs). I added few patches which removes APP_DIR related problem, moved all to /usr/share/rox/, /usr/share/doc/rox-cvs/ directories and then go Filip way - removed some functionality (which I found rather disturbing). Also I added some third party patches mainly taken from rox-devel mailing list. With 1.3.3 release I packaged this release also but not said much about it - now I'm thinking about making it just simple, plain ROX-Filer with only minimum of patches applied (only those which Debianish it) - but I will wait to 1.3.4 release with it. But let's go to conclusion: I'm not Debian developer (yet - maybe some day I'll start applying to be) so my packages are 'unofficial', non-Debian. Maybe some day they will be 'official' on ROX HomePage (I talked about it with Jan some days ago). Second thing is - what part of ROX-Filer functionality which I removed in my package you want to have in it: - using Appicon.xpm as DirIcon if there is no .DirIcon - starting dir/AppRun just by click on dir folder icon And one more thing: Are you using ROX-Filer? And if yes - which packages :)) -- Marcin 'Szczepan|Hrw' Juszkiewicz mailto: marcin<at>amiga<dot>pl my Debian packages: deb http://users.stone.pl/szczepan/ apt/
