Sorry for the flood: they also appear in alphabetical sorted order, not 
in the order I specify.  Prefixing them with numbers makes the layout 
appear ragged, unless I use a fixed-with font for the menu.  I think 
however that having the menu always kept up to date outweighs these 
inconveniences.
