I see that [3] says: "Note that a bridge cannot be established over Wi-Fi networks operating in Ad-Hoc or Infrastructure modes." ... not sure exactly what that means or if it affects your situation. Lots of moving parts here: distro packaging differences, multiple network management schemes, libvirt changes. My network competence is very low, I hope I'm not adding too much noise to the thread, I'm just here hoping to learn from how you solve it.
