"Debian .net" refers to the internal infrastructure and virtual machines hosted by and for Debian Developers to support their work on the operating system, whereas "Debian .org" refers to the public-facing website and community of the Debian Project itself, the organization that develops the free and open-source Debian operating system. The two are distinct; .org is about the software and community, while .net is about the development infrastructure for the people building that software.
