I see your reverse-video prompt and I raise with:

My *keyboard* becomes red when I type in a terminal with a root shell or
processes descended from one.

I had forgotten I had that enabled, though, since I almost never use a
root shell, I prefer using sudo the way it is meant to be used; the rare
times I do are when I do not want the command to end up in the logs, for
example this one:

cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/mapper/st202204-ar0001 crypt-c0001.tmp 
<<<"va53t+rTaAW46Bh7kFWnz/K5EOq8mb1L"

(do not worry, this is not the real key).
