Copy/paste works differently in Linux than in Microsoft OSes. Generally, you don't have to <CTRL_C> to copy. As soon as you highlight the text, it is available for pasting. The downside of this is that as soon as you highlight some OTHER text, you've lost the first, so using copy/paste to replace text can be a bit clumsy. To copy: highlight the text To paste: click middle button or scrollwheel on mouse (or both buttons together if you're using a 2-button mouse). Oh, and it's the "console" for Ctrl-Alt-F1, "virtual terminal" for F2 though F6 and, generically, "X terminal" for a terminal opened in X. "command prompt" is OK, but if you say DOS you're going to have to wash your mouth out with soap and water :) And, just in case you ever need to know: it's "X", *not* "X Windows" :) -- ....................paul Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere may be happy. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
