Like the terms of warranty. This is one area where you have to read the fine print before purchasing. Considering all the MS hate posts in the comments of that article this might even be a MS hate article to begin with. However I'd like to point out that I use a Compaq (HP) laptop that came with freedos (HP does sell laptops with freedos for cheaper than with windows prices) and I use linux on this box and during the 1 year warranty time the CD Rom got busted (it wont close) and I took it to HP and they replaced it within 15 minutes. All they did was to check the serial number before replacing the unit. They didnt bother about the OS I had. On a separate point I'd like to point out that both HP and Acer sells laptops with Freedos and Linux (respectively) installed at cheaper pricers in this part of the world. -- Random Quotes From Megas XLR Coop: You see?
