I did not trust mount either. mount always says it's ext3, but
/proc/mounts says ext2.

cat /proc/mounts says:

/dev/root / ext3 rw 0 0
/dev/hda7 /disks/oldhome ext3 rw 0 0
...

These two partitions were the ones moved to ext3. And ls -a shows
.journal in / but not in /disks/oldhome.
