yeah thats the problem i was having..cups builds fine but
the driver doesn't ..driver depends on gimp which depends
on gtk which probably has a lot of other dependencies.

im trying it out on a woody system now ..so far no luck,
recompiling the kernel, it says it can't open /dev/lp0 no
such device..which is odd because my rio can talk on the
parallel port(though i specify the port directly not a /dev
device). so hopefully after thats done it will work. i can't
echo stuff to the port either. so its probably(hoping!!!)
its a kernel config issue even though i compiled parport and
parport_pc as modules and inserted them ..still no luck.
will try as static.

i don't see a driver specifically for the c80 even on woody
though, so im trying a generic gimp-print stylus color and
see if it works, i don't need anything perfect just want to
get color and decent quality(i dont print photos or anything)
