Can you confirm this a correct version scheme?
For bookworm this gives:
16.02+dfsg-8 (current version)
< 16.02+really25.01+dfsg-0+deb12u1 (proposal)
< 16.02+transitional.1 (trixie)
dpkg --compare-versions is happy and it looks sound indicating the
the real version, the -0+deb12u1 suffix to make sure any potential
uper suite packaging would not conflict.
Thanks for checking!
I did not really went through the details of the packaging changes,
but we have no remaining worries of regressions?
If we are confident of the point release updates, having them exposed
early/enough time in advance of the point releases might be
beneficial. Emilio, with his other hat on from the release team might
have some valuable input for this kind of "transition".
My automated and manual tests showed that identified regressions are
fixed, and I didn't find any other regression.
Indeed uploading p7zip&p7zip-rar to OSPU during April would help get
more testing. I intend to finalize and upload on Wednesday for the OSRMs
to check.
Cheers!
