Package: insserv Version: 1.12.0-10 Severity: critical Justification: might break the whole system
I just found out that my system was converted by insserv without even asking me! I purged and reinstalled: Unpacking insserv (from .../insserv_1.12.0-10_amd64.deb) ... Adding `diversion of /usr/sbin/update-rc.d to /usr/sbin/update-rc.d.distrib by insserv' success: Boot system successfully converted When running dpkg-reconfigure I see the debconf query that seems to default to "Yes". But it is simply not asked during normal installation. And no, I do not block debconf queries. But even if, insserv should default to "No" unless it is default.
