This means that the other binaries produced by the ffmpeg-debian package are affected by this conflict as well and will be tried to removed on upgrades, AFAIUI. > This means, installing Debian's libavutil49 > will remove all of Marillat's packages except libavutil49 itself (which > is the one we install right now anyway). > If we repeat this scheme for all other library packages (i.e. conflict > against everything >= 3:20050427, but not against yourself), we get a > Marillat-free ffmpeg by installing only one of the Debian packages. This seems to me highly complicated without much gain. I don't think that this will work. Moreover if we find some way to break the packages from http://debian-multimedia.org, marillat some other way to work around that. I don't think we should engage into that game in the first place. The conflicts on the lib*cvs package was another game, because there we don't conflict against our own packages. Eventually we will rename our packages to 'libavcodec-stripped-51', which would reenable us do the trick you propose here. -- Gruesse/greetings, Reinhard Tartler, KeyID 945348A4 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
