brr, so much complexity, and then the code also has to work on Windows
(or at least compile by excluding it with macros). Maybe the old
behaviour as default (arbitrary monitor, e.g. leave it to gtk’s
fullscreening code) and an option to specify other monitors using RandR
names is a sane compromise.
