I can confirm, the bug is still present for a tint2 version 0.11-2
(debian packaged version).

Tested with Openbox WM and Skype. At first, Skype tray icon appears
normally in the tray. After some restarts of Skype (I cannot specify
the steps to reproduce with 100% certainty) the icon no longer appears
after skype starts and the symptom is exactly as described above:

error_handler 8
tint2 : not icon_swallow

Killing and restarting skype or tint2 process is not a solution. Only
after a complete X session termination (user logout & login) the icon
for skype reapears in the tray, until the problem occurs again.

(using tint2 & openbox with gnome2 & gnome daemons, and skype via debian
packaged pidgin-skype plugin)
