This addresses the main problem mentioned in this bug report. I'd like
to know what you intend to do about the further issues I raised.

Sure, but why did you remove the tag (versioning, really) when it was
correct? Versioning is the default now, and mailing to -done without a
Version: pseudo-header is deprecated when you can pinpoint the fix to a
specific version.
