The file conflict with libquicktime1 was the main reason I filed this bug. This problem is fixed with a replaces. Additionally, in my first mail I mentioned a few further items that did not warrant individual reports. I'd like to know your opinion on them. Specifically: - You've introduced to Debian a library package that decreased its soname to a version that was in use some time ago. This looks dubious and can give rise to problems if the ABI now differs from the one used in the first .0 soname version. Do you intend to check with upstream about this potential problem? - In this light, I'd like you to reconsider #323659 and add a conflict/replaces on libquicktime4linux0, the package which first provided the current soname in woody. - Do you intend to inform the maintainers of packages that depend on libquicktime1 that these packages are now uninstallable and need to be rebuilt?
