Package: sl-modem-daemon Version: 2.9.9d-2 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
Until recently I was using the AMD64 archive and proceeded to install sl-modem-daemon from upstream's source, as Debian doesn't have this package on that architecture. Back then it seemed to work nicely with my VIA82XX modem through ALSA. Now I'm back on i386 and after installing this package I just get an error message saying that module snd_intel8x0m cannot be found; that's certainly not the driver that corresponds to my modem. I based my old init.d script in Debian's, but I just changed all module occurences from intel to VIA, and that seems to be enough. Perhaps for Debian both have to be tried in turn? - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-ck3 Locale: LANG=es_AR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages sl-modem-daemon depends on: ii debconf 1.4.52 Debian configuration management sy ii libasound2 1.0.9-3 ALSA library ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an sl-modem-daemon recommends no packages. - -- debconf information: sl-modem-daemon/country: USA -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFC67Ya823633cP2P8RAqVcAJ9rxJV0NI4y9J6tMps+uO2NL1dRxACfXC7q vCdOkn4I5FCqG6pUKtqOQ2Y= =pCM2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
