I've sent a collection of patches that will be needed to support upcoming Audacious 2.2 upstream. There's been no response yet (for about a week now). It's up to you whether you want to add these patches in Debian or wait; but I'm sure neither you nor I want to see Debian's users let down when Audacious 2.2 hits unstable.
