Combining Hamish's results with mine points to a deeper
library version problem. Something to do with font encoding.
Broken stack on amd64 sid:
xpdf 3.00-13
libt1-5 5.0.2-3
libfreetype6 2.1.10-1
zlib1g 1:1.2.2-6
Working stack on i386 sarge:
xpdf 3.00-13
libt1-5 5.0.2-3
libfreetype6 2.1.7-2.4
zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4.sarge.1
Where I hope I hit all the relevant packages.
Hamish, can you add your version info to the above?
I'll try to figure out the recipe to downgrade libfreetype6
on sid and retest.
