That's very odd, because I'm using it to wrap the amd64 flash plugin
installed by flashplugin-nonfree, and it works just fine:

mithra...@elvardein:~> file -L
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flash-mozilla.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flash-mozilla.so: ELF 64-bit LSB shared
object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, stripped

mithra...@elvardein:~> nspluginwrapper -v -a -i

mithra...@elvardein:~> apt-cache policy nspluginwrapper
nspluginwrapper:
  Installed: 1.3.0-1
  Candidate: 1.3.0-1
  Version table:
 *** 1.3.0-1 0
        500 http://debian.mirror.ac.za sid-amd64/contrib Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

And the resulting plugin wrapper works just fine in Iceweasel.
