Just to clarify my last email - I don't see any init.d script as part of
the ifrename installation. Nothing appears in /etc/init.d and there is
nothing listed in the package itself

# dpkg -L ifrename
/.
/sbin
/sbin/ifrename
/usr
/usr/share
/usr/share/man
/usr/share/man/man8
/usr/share/man/man8/ifrename.8.gz
/usr/share/man/man5
/usr/share/man/man5/iftab.5.gz
/usr/share/doc
/usr/share/doc/ifrename
/usr/share/doc/ifrename/README.gz
/usr/share/doc/ifrename/copyright
/usr/share/doc/ifrename/changelog.gz
/usr/share/doc/ifrename/HOTPLUG.txt.gz
/usr/share/doc/ifrename/changelog.Debian.gz

Should ifrename have its own /etc/init.d script?

Dave.
