Which init.d script? I have no init.d script for ifrename ... (whether
hotplug installed or not)

I note that ifrename 'works' on startup on another server (which has
hotplug installed), but there is no init.d script. Quite *how* ifrename
actually works, then, is a mystery to me; but it clearly does. (I have
changed the contents of /etc/iftab and re-run 'ifrename' there quite a few
times and the changes are always properly reflected at boot-up.)

Perhaps I'm getting confused....

Dave.
