Essentially, the bug is that if the sendmail.mc file is configured
with the following lines (as specified in the docs):
define(`confMILTER_MACROS_CONNECT',`t, b, j, _, {daemon_name},
{if_name}, {if_addr}')dnl
define(`confMILTER_MACROS_HELO',`s, {tls_version}, {cipher},
{cipher_bits}, {cert_subject}, {cert_issuer}')dnl
define(`confMILTER_MACROS_ENVRCPT',`b, i, j, r, v, Z, _')dnl
then spamass-milter acts as if it were invoked with the -x option,
with actually specifying it. If you _do_ specify -x, then the
previously mentioned errors are produced.

The current behavior is the same as using the -x flag, but I am not
using this flag and I have not added spamass-milter to the smmsp
group. I
don;t mind, since I get what I want, but it seems this probably
isn't the
intended behavior.
So then what exactly is the bug that you're reporting?
Is it that using -x causes that error? If so, I've told you how to fix
that.
If it's something else, then you need to provide an explanation of
what your setup was a the time you got the error, what the debug
output was surrounding the error, and/or any other additional
information that you can give me that will help me figure out what the
error is.
Finally, you can just send mail to 515...@bugs.debian.org, which will
get to me, instead of replying directly to me.

Everyone has to die. And in a hundred years nobody's going to inquire
just how most people died. The best thing is to do it in the way that
strikes your fancy most.
