Let me see how we can add this into the Maatkit distribution itself.
Really I would like to see the following: init scripts for
daemonizable tools; ability to make them log their stdout and stderr
to a log file; and a configuration file, such as
/etc/maatkit/maatkit.conf and /etc/maatkit/mk-slave-delay.conf. The
latter two should work similarly to mysql's config files, although I
am not sure I want to have [section] markers in files -- just keep
each tool's config in a separate file.
What do you think about this?
That would be even better of course. :-)
Separate files for each tool would have my preference as well.
And if you agree, let's add bug reports to the project's upstream bug
