Package: maatkit Version: 2442-1 Severity: wishlist Tags: patch Hi,
The following patch for the Debian package of Maatkit adds an init script for mk-slave-delay, which makes it easy to automatically start mk-slave-delay on every boot. The init script is disabled by default, and can be enabled by editing /etc/default/mk-slave-delay. >From the added README.Debian: This package contains an init script for automatically starting mk-slave-delay(1p) on every boot, which is disabled by default. To enable it, edit /etc/default/mk-slave-delay and set START to "yes". You can change the value of DAEMON_OPTS to set mk-slave-delay arguments such as the delay time. There are still some improvements which could be made, such as logging the output to a logfile, and adding support for a .pid file (which would probably require changes to mk-slave-delay), but I figured it might be useful to others in its current form already. Is this something you would be willing to add to the Debian package? -- Bart
