Package: libmono-system-web2.0-cil Version: 1.9.1+dfsg-3 Severity: important
Justification: Non-obvious and non-documented failure by differing from upstream distribution The problem with the current packaging is that System.Web.Extensions.dll is missing without this being obvious. Yes, it's documented in changelog.Debian.gz (who reads this file upon installation???), but doesn't seem to be hinted anywhere else. When trying web applications (specifically, Mojoportal), then it is non-obvious why it fails when all documentation says it should work. Please re-include System.Web.Extension.dll, either by removing or replacing the non-DFSG code or, as a quick solution, a separate package in non-free. This will allow standard web applications to work in Debian (when they work perfectly with the official mono distributions). -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libmono-system-web2.0-cil depends on: ii libgdiplus 1.9-1 interface library for Mono class S ii libmono-corlib2.0-cil 1.9.1+dfsg-3 Mono core library (2.0) ii libmono-sqlite2.0-cil 1.9.1+dfsg-3 Mono Sqlite library ii libmono-system-data2.0-cil 1.9.1+dfsg-3 Mono System.Data Library ii libmono-system2.0-cil 1.9.1+dfsg-3 Mono System libraries (2.0) ii libmono2.0-cil 1.9.1+dfsg-3 Mono libraries (2.0) ii mono-jit 1.9.1+dfsg-3 fast CLI JIT/AOT compiler for Mono libmono-system-web2.0-cil recommends no packages.
