Package: ndiswrapper Version: 1.52-1 Severity: normal ndiswrapper should provide transitional packages for users of ndiswrapper-1.1.
I would also recommend to drop the wrapper scripts in ndiswrapper-common and rename ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 to ndiswrapper-utils. There is no reason to have versioned ndiswrapper-utils-.* packages. Simply build three transitional binary packages, ndiswrapper-utils-1.9, ndiswrapper-utils-1.1, ndiswrapper-common which all depend on ndiswrapper-utils. Build a real binary package called ndiswrapper-utils which conflicts and replaces ndiswrapper-utils-1.9, ndiswrapper-utils-1.1 and ndiswrapper-common. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers gutsy-updates APT policy: (500, 'gutsy-updates'), (500, 'gutsy-security'), (500, 'gutsy-backports'), (500, 'gutsy'), (1, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-4-generic (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash
