Here it is a step-by-step quick&dirty guide: 1) open your /etc/apt/sources.list 2) add a line like: deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian unstable main 3) # apt-get update 4) # apt-get install -t unstable twm gthumb 5) reoprn your /etc/apt/sources.list and comment/remove the previous line 6) # apt-get update Be careful with step 4. You should not have problems upgrading twm, and from a quick check gthumb from unstable shouldn't need anything else that is not already in etch. But please, again, be careful.
